Our Story

"I assure you, most solemnly I tell you,

Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains just one grain;

it never becomes more but lives by itself alone.

But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest."

(John 12:24)

Medical negligence occured on the 4th of March 2008 as an emergency caeserean section was not performed timeously. The delay allowed my uterus to rupture and I was left to wait a further 2,5 hours before being taken to theatre.

It is only by the grace of God that I survived.

My expert witness, a retired gynaecologist, testified in court that "God must have been on Debbi Windell's side".

Our son Nathan did not survive but his legacy lives on through Live In Hope Foundation.

We desire to extend Hope to those who are grieving the loss of a child or a loved one and to offer them support as they walk the road of healing.

We appeared in the East London High Court from Monday, 21 February 2011 until Thursday, 24 February 2011.

Three separate articles were featured in East London's newspaper, the Daily Dispatch.

The first article was published after trial was postponed in August 2010.

The second and third articles were published during and after trial in February 2011.
